In my spare time, I enjoy long distance running and one of my personal achievements was to run both the 2012 and 2013 Great North Run half marathon. The decision to take part in this event came from my Grandad being diagnosed with MSA, also known as Parkinson’s Plus. Being such a small charity, I wanted to help raise money and awareness of the disease and did this through my love of running. Over the two years, I raised nearly £4000 for the MSA charity.
Netball has always been a hobby of mine as I have played it since I was 10 years old. Throughout the years I have played in various leagues and competitions and have tried all seven positions of the game. I am currently Captain of Stafforshire University Team (Stafford Campus) and general play Goal Defence or Goal Keeper. I recently got awarded club colours for my service and contribution to Stafforshire University Netball Team.
